Public Accounts Committee
In the House of Commons, I’m a member of the Public Accounts Committee, a cross-party select committee responsible for holding government officials to account over all areas of government expenditure. This covers a huge range of issues – anything from how it spends money on building new homes, what it’s doing about the shortage of nurses in the NHS, or how it plans to develop our broadband infrastructure. All Party Parliamentary Group on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
I am the Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We hold meetings and inquiries on a range of topics, most recently the educational experience of children and young people with SEND during the pandemic.
