I am so proud to have been reselected to stand for the Labour Party in Sheffield Hallam.

From building our Hallam Citizens’ Manifesto to campaigning against cuts to our bus services, it’s been the honour of my life to be representing the people of Sheffield Hallam over the last three years. But there is so much more that needs to be done.

We need to fight for the transformative Green New Deal that people in Sheffield are calling out for. We need to fight cuts to our buses and trains in Yorkshire and build a public transport system that works for everybody. We need to stand firm against austerity 2.0, rejecting any cuts to our public services or benefits. We need to fight the cruel Rwanda Plan of this Tory government and as a city of sanctuary, model what we want to see. And we need to fight the Tory attacks on our human rights and defend our right to protest and our rights at work.

To do this, we need to fight for the Labour government that our country so desperately needs.

Over the next year our movement will be knocking on doors to hear about issues affecting people in our community; holding street stalls and phone banking sessions to grow support for our movement; joining workers on picket lines to show our solidarity; and supporting and running grass-roots campaigns in our city.
