I am over the moon to announce that I have been awarded the Sense Parliamentarian of the Year award for my work as Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group of MPs on SEND.

I’d like to say a massive thank you to Sense for this award.

Since entering Parliament in 2019 I’ve made it one of my missions to be a voice for disabled people in Parliament, both as the Chair of the APPG on SEND and in my other work. We’ve done a huge amount of work through our APPG to highlight the impact of Covid-19 on young people going through our education system. So, to have this work recognised means such a lot.

We will continue to fight to end discrimination against disabled young people and others, and make sure we’re getting the resources and the action that we need to see from government.
