I am deeply concerned by this horrible incident and want to send my full support and solidarity to the Crookes community at this time. Racism and homophobia have no place in our city, and we must continue to oppose them in every form.

Our city has a strong and proud tradition of cohesion and solidarity. We must strengthen our anti-racist and pro-LGBTQ organising and build on our strong, inclusive communities.
