As of this week 100 MPs are now supporting the Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill. This is brilliant news!

The bill, which I have publicly supported since it was first tabled in September 2020, is a Private Members Bill which, if made into law, would require the UK Government to make and enact a serious plan to tackle the climate and ecological emergency in a fair, and just way.

It was developed with members of the Big Ask Campaign, which successfully lobbied for the 2008 Climate Change Act, and is supported by prominent scientists, academics and lawyers. You can read more about the specifics of the bill and the campaign here.
