🔥 This week I secured a Westminster Hall debate on moorland burning – calling on the government to #BanTheBurn completely, so we can reach net-zero and tackle the climate emergency, halt biodiversity loss, and protect our communities from flooding. On Tuesday I joined an amazing panel of speakers at a GMB union event for Trans Awareness Week.

Last week, in my role on the Public Accounts Committee, I questioned Treasury officials over the regional differences in Covid-19 support, and particularly why Tier 3 support was so much less than the support provided once we entered a national lockdown. 🏠 I’ve written to the Home Sec to ask why Mears Group Urban House initial accommodation centre has been permitted to reopen, when the conditions that led to a Covid 19 outbreak in July still remain.

😷  I also wrote to Health Secretary Matt Hancock to share the experiences of several extremely clinically vulnerable constituents who have gotten in touch, and call for sufficient support for them both during and after this lockdown.
